Using our global network of castings manufacturers, we supply high precision machined castings, in either large or small volumes.
Through continuous investment in the latest technologies, we are able to offer our clients great value castings made to their exact specifications, which meet the high-quality standards they require.
BENEFITS OF CASTINGS
Castings have revolutionised industries worldwide with the strength, versatility and cost-effectiveness that they offer. Some of the ways they can elevate your products to new levels of excellence are as follows:
- Unparalleled Strength: Castings embody exceptional durability and strength, capable of withstanding the harshest environments and heavy-duty applications. Through the casting process, materials are accurately formed and consolidated, resulting in a solid and robust product that surpasses the limitations of other manufacturing methods.
- Design Freedom: Embrace the limitless possibilities offered by castings. Complex geometries, intricate details and custom shapes can be effortlessly achieved, thanks to the versatility of casting techniques.
- Enhanced Performance: Experience the unrivalled performance of castings. The inherent qualities of castings, such as their superior metallurgical properties and structural integrity, ensure optimal functionality under extreme conditions.
- Cost-Efficiency: Castings deliver notable cost savings throughout the product lifecycle. The ability to consolidate multiple parts into a single casting eliminates the need for assembly, reducing labour and material costs.
- Versatility Across Industries: From aerospace to automotive, energy to construction, castings have become the go-to choice for diverse sectors. The adaptability of castings allows them to excel in critical applications, providing robust solutions that meet the stringent demands of various industries.
- Sustainability and Recycling: Embrace eco-conscious practices with castings. By utilising recyclable materials and optimising production techniques, castings contribute to a sustainable manufacturing ecosystem. Reduce your environmental footprint and align with the growing demand for green solutions.
Using our trusted network of global suppliers, Darian can provide the following types of castings:
ALUMINIUM AND ZINC HIGH PRESSURE CASTING
With machine closing forces from 60 – 1350T, we can supply either raw or fully machined castings in a variety of alloys from 5g upwards. Temperature-controlled furnaces ensure consistent melt quality. If required, our castings manufacturers are also able to supply parts with various surface finishes including anodising, plating and powder coating.
Our foundries supply to ISO9001:2008 and IATF 16949 standards, so you can rest assured you will receive the high-quality product you require. CMM reports, spectrograph, x-ray testing, casting simulation, hardness and roughness testing are also available.
ALUMINIUM GRAVITY DIECASTING
When the volumes and surface finish expectations are lower and to avoid the sometimes high investment costs for HPDC, parts can be produced in our gravity casting plants. Parts weighing from just a few grams up to 100kg can be supplied from this process. As with our other production plants, material certification, non-destructive testing and finishing operations can be included as part of the service.
STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL CASTINGS
Using a combination of hand and automatic moulding or permanent mould production, our foundries are able to supply parts from 5kg up to 5000kg in the following materials:
- Carbon steel – WCB, WCA
- Stainless steel – 304, 316
- Nickel / cobalt and copper alloys
CNC machining and surface finishing can also be included.
For your peace of mind our foundries can provide:
- 1 Material Certification
- CMM reporting
- PPAP, ISIR and VDA documentation
- Non Destructive Testing
- X-Ray / Ultrasound testing
Foundry accreditations include ISO 9001 : 2008 | LLOYDS | PED | ISO TS16949
GREY IRON AND NODULAR IRON CASTINGS
Produced on latest technology automatic moulding lines, we supply Grey Iron to EN1561 EN-GJL-150, 200, 250 & 300 grades, SG Iron to EN1563 EN-GJS 400, 500, 600 & 700 grades. Other grades to customer specification can be offered. More often than not we supply fully finished parts including machining and surface finishing.
INVESTMENT CASTINGS
For parts requiring near net shape production, our investment castings manufacturers offer parts produced in non-ferrous materials including stainless steel, brass and aluminium. Parts ranging in weight from a few grams up to 80kg can be produced depending on size. Finish machining, sub assembly and surface finishing can also be provided.

We can provide a painted finish and anodising if required
This depends on the individual foundry, however in most cases the machining is carried out in-house
We can supply castings up to 5000 kg
Testing such as x-ray, pressure testing, ultrasound and more can be carried out at an additional cost.
Materials supplied include steel, stainless steel, brass, grey iron, nodular iron, aluminium and zinc.
Standard lead times are 4 months for tooling and 1-2 months for sample production.
We can supply in small batches as well as large volumes.
We can offer low, medium and high-volume production utilising single or progression tooling
In light of UK and EU’s ban on the import of Russian and iron steel products processed in a third country, we are able to verify that our supply chain does not involve any use of iron or steel from Russia and all of our suppliers have written to us to confirm that they do not contain any material originating from Russia.
